Here is club member Bob Lynes, his daughter Amy, and club treasurer Anna Bates at th Grand Canyon North Rim. Also not pictured is Stan Holman. On 5/31/08 they completed a Rim to Rim to Rim 40+ miler!

Three of our very own club members finished out their Track seasons on a good note. From left to right. At the District Meet Alex McCrum placed 2nd with a stellar 1600 meter, Wind River Middle School record, that has been standing for 30 years. He ran 5:06. Alex also took 2nd in the Pole Vault. Miles Holman took 6th in the 1600 meters in 5:58, took 6th in the Discus, 2nd on the 4X200 meter relay, and 7th in the 4X100 meter relay. Mariah Holman ran a personal record and 4th place in the district 1600 meters, with a time of 6:27. Great job to them for a great season!


July 30th, seven CGRC menbers ran in the Round Lake 5K in Camas. The race goes around Round Lake, and is a very hilly course. Hope you had a Happy Birthday Madeleine!


August 23-24 Stan Holman, ran in the CCC100 Mile Endurance Run. Finished 6th in 22 hours, and 46 min. He was crewed, and paced by his wife, Esther, and mother Claudia, Amy Lynes, Cam Hardy. Anna Bates paced her good friend Kris Ryding for the last 47 miles of her event. Here are a few shots of the event. I have to say that I have never seen a sunrise as awesome as the one in the photo taken by Glenn Tachiyama.



Good job to Michele Adams, and Jim Brashers @ the McKinzie River 50K Trail Run Sept. 6th. Michele rinished in 46th place in 5:01:29, and Jim Finished 66th place in 5:25:51.


  Anna Bates 4:18:03 (8 seconds faster than last year), Kathy Brashers 6:41:03, Gary Daubenspeck 4:44:35 (1st Marathon), Esther Holman 5:37:24, and Bob Lynes 6:02:44, ran in the Timberline Marathon Sept. 13. It was a perfect weather day, and a little dirty, but all ran well. They did CGRC proud.


Sunday Sept. 28th, Mosier Twin Tunnels 12K/5K happened. This was the 2nd race of 4 that are happening this year. 8 club members took part in this event. In the 5k Bryan Mears pushed a baby jogger in 29:06, and Claudia Holman won her age group in 48:13, In the 12K Stan Holman won orverall in 44:51, Madeleine Sellers broke the old womens course record in 51:41, but also got beat by Hood Rivers Jessica Hudek. Nathan Sellers ran 57:33, Anna Bates ran 58:16, Tiffany McCrum ran 1:09:33, and Esther Holman ran 1:11:59. Photo's taken by Scotty Mac.


We had 34 participants at the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Run/Walk 5 Miler on Strawberry Island, North Bonneville.

Congratulations to Esther Holman, for finishing 23rd in the ORRC Autumn Leaves 50K @ Champoeg Park with a personal best time of 5:56:41 (it was a 41 minute PR), Stan helped pace her.


The 3rd Annual Turkey Trot is over. Thanks to all that made it a success. The sponsors, the volunteers, and everyone who participated. We are happy to announce that 300 lbs. of food, and $64 was collected to benefit our local Food Bank. 123 participants this year!

Dec. 13th was the last in a series of Twin Tunnel Runs, held as a benefit for the Mosier School District. Word is our CGRC member Scott McMullen was the Tace Director. In the 12K Madeleine Sellers ran 50:50, Nathan Sellers ran 57:32, and Bryan Mears ran 1:03:33. In the 5K Esther Holman ran 28:06, Sophie Miller ran 28:30, and Claudia Holman walked in 51:02, and Claudia also won the $50 prize for the series. Great job all of you!


CGRC Members Potluck & Meeting: Wednesday December 10th, was a success. Good food, even better company. I for one, want to thank each, and everyone who has made this club what it has become in one short year. I look forward to seeing what we can do in the future.

 Madeleine Sellers is the first CGRC member to log enough miles in our "Across The States Porgram" to travel 2775 miles Coast to Coast. WOW! Now that's impressive!
